Deze nieuwe uitgave van Onderzoek en behandeling van spierverkortingen bevat een volledig herziene versie wat betreft de biomechanische en neurofysiologische aspecten verbonden aan het verlengen van spieren. Deze werd aangepast aan de meest recente inzichten aangaande het gebruik van verlengingstechnieken. Naar analogie met de vorige uitgave wordt het principe van oriënterende en specifieke lengtetest voor de meeste spieren behouden. Daarnaast is er bijkomend meer aandacht besteed aan het gebruik van dwarse rek. Het boek blijft vooral een praktische gids voor studenten, kinesitherapeuten en andere geïnteresseerden uit het sportmilieu.
